DATE: Saturday, June 13, 2026 TIME: 10:00am - 1:00pm LOCATION: Northeast Seattle COST: FREE! Meet local author Norma "Rosie" Wigutoff, who recently published Left Out! A Memoir and Other Stories of Disenfranchised Grief: What It Is and Why It Matters.
Rosie will share a little about the topic of disenfranchised grief, read an exerpt from the book, and answer your questions. After the Q&A, you'll have time to work on your own writing project in a lovely art- and nature-filled setting in Northeast Seattle. Rosie will provide a couple of optional writing prompts for inspiration--one on the topic of grief, and one for general memoir writing--but you do not have to be working on a memoir to participate in any part of this FREE event!
This event will be held at The Art Hangout, a semi-secret private art garden & gallery in the Meadowbrook neighborhood of Northeast Seattle, full of surprises and whimsy -- the perfect combination to get your creative juices flowing, for whatever type of writing project you're working on! Weather-permitting, the book discussion and writing time will take place outdoors, surrounded by art and nature. If the weather does not cooperate, we will move indoors, still surrounded by art and nature!
Feel free to bring your own lunch, snacks, or beverages. Restrooms are available onsite, but please note that some stairs and steps are involved with accessing the space, for both outdoors and indoors. Space is limited, so register soon! Event reminder and details will be emailed one day prior to the start time. |
