Write-Out on the Water
Mini Writing & Yoga Retreat Due to illness, this event has been CANCELED. Are you ready to spend some quality time with your WIP and other local writers? Event Details: The theme of this mini writing & yoga retreat is Holistic Writing Practices. We'll start at the downtown Seattle Ferry terminal for a meet & greet, instructions, orientation, and discussion of some strategies that writers can use to keep the mind, body, and spirit healthy and boost productivity and creativity, for a sustainable, holistic writing practice. Then we'll board the Bremerton ferry for some light yoga, movement, and mindfulness exercises as a way to practice some of the holistic strategies. (No yoga supplies necessary.) On the hour-long ferry, you'll have the opportunity to spend quality, focused time on your writing project, with the added inspiration of views of Puget Sound and the surrounding islands and mountains, and in the company of other local writers. Writers of any type are welcome to join! In Bremerton, we'll either walk to a nearby park for some outdoor writing (weather permitting) or head to a coffee shop for indoor writing among the houseplants :). There will also be some free time to explore the town. On the ferry back to Seattle, we'll have one final check-in and writing session together. The price of this event includes:
Participants will be responsible for any food or beverage purchases during the event, or feel free to bring your own lunch and/or snacks. |
