Write-out Wednesdays
Write-Out Wednesdays offer weekday opportunities to spend quiet, focused time on your writing project surrounded by nature and other local writers at different natural areas in and around Seattle during the spring and summer months.
Since the name Plein-Air Prose was inspired by the activity plein-air painting, we're excited to team up with another local arts organization, Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS), and join their Wednesday plein-air sessions!
It's a well-known fact that art begets art, so what could be more inspirational than writing while also surrounded by artists creating in real time? And witnessing a group of writers alongside painters at various public locations will surely spark some creativity in many passersby!

In 2026, all Write-Out Wednesdays will take place in conjunction with NWWS events, which are held at different Puget Sound locations each week, from May through October, 10:30am to 1:30pm. These events are always FREE and open to writers (or painters!) of any type.
To join in these creative, collaborative events, sign up for the special mailing list below that will send out the location every weekend prior to the next Wednesday's event. (If you are already a Plein-Air Prose member, note that this is a separate, different mailing list, so as not to bombard members who are not interested or able to make weekday events. If you are not already a Plein-Air Prose member, signing up on this list will add you to the main ~monthly mailing list as well.)
